Their Story

Helper Beer was founded in 2017 by Jaron Anderson, with the idea born under the sight of a total solar eclipse in rural Idaho. Anderson, who has over 15 years of experience in Utah's craft beer industry, trained under renowned brewer Kevin Templin at TF Brewing and worked at Red Rock Brewing. The inspiration to locate in Helper, Utah came from frequent visits to his best friend Charles Callis, who moved there in 2009. Anderson fell in love with Helper's vibrant art scene and outdoor recreation opportunities. He and his wife Amy decided to pursue the brewery dream after a 2017 trip to Idaho for the solar eclipse inspired them to "chase their dreams." The Andersons moved to Helper in 2018, partnered with Todd and Ross Lambert, and secured funding, but faced over two years of delays due to COVID-19 before beginning construction in June 2022. Helper Beer received its brewing license on March 30, 2023, and opened to the public on April 8, 2023, with a grand opening on May 6, 2023.

The environment is excellently curated with open bright space, accented by a thriving collection of live plants. The staff is incredibly personable and act as neighbors and local guides. The beer? Award winning and even to the layperson’s palate is spectacular. Chef’s kiss.

I can't drive through Helper without stopping and getting a pizza and a few beers here. The pizzas and brews are outstanding. The service is great. Worth the 2 hour drive alone.
