Their Story
Fisher Brewing Company was originally founded in 1884 by German immigrant Albert Fisher, making it one of Utah's first breweries. The brewery thrived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, producing about 75,000 barrels annually by 1905. Fisher started working at a local brewery in the 1870s before establishing his own company. The brewery operated until 1957 when it was sold to Lucky Lager, eventually closing in 1967. The historic Fisher Brewing brand was revived on February 28, 2017, by Tom Riemondy (Albert Fisher's great-great-grandson) along with his partners Tim Dwyer, Colby Frazier, and Steven Brown. They renovated an old auto shop in Salt Lake City's Granary District into the new brewery, bringing back a classic Utah brand after 50 years. The modern iteration is employee-owned and community-focused, maintaining the classic spirit of the original company while brewing both traditional and experimental styles.

Great beer atmosphere! Really enjoyed the space. The beer was good, though there was not a good wheat beer option. If you like beets, there was a true to its name beet beer available! They have a different food cart out front everyday and a cookie and coffee place next door. The staff were friendly and willing to provide information about other breweries and food spots!
