About

A local favorite serving craft brews in the heart of Utah. Stop by to taste their latest creations and soak in the atmosphere.

Their Story

Ryan Miller, a self-described punk rock rebel raised by scientists in Idaho Falls (father a nuclear physicist, mother a paleontologist), started home-brewing in the early 1990s while attending Westminster College. After earning his bachelor's at Westminster and a graduate degree in Environmental Resource Management from Arizona State University, Miller worked in IT/software development but continued brewing as a hobby. While traveling for work, he sought out craft breweries and eventually decided to pursue his own brewery dream. SaltFire opened in South Salt Lake in 2018 and became known as "the brewery built from the bottle up" - Miller designed and patented his own four-head manual counter-pressure bottle-filling machine to solve Utah's unique bottling requirements, even selling hundreds of these systems worldwide to other nano- and microbreweries.

Stick with a can you will enjoy it. You will regret any draft.

Have always been a big fan of what’s been brewed here but the recent use of AI in its instagram stories has turned me away

Their beers are decent. The decor is also very neat with the angler fish logo. The merchandise look pretty good too with it. Their sours are probably the most I liked. They have outdoor patio seating along with indoor and bar seating. There's a neat shuffleboard you can play with along with many other board games available.
