Their Story
UTOG Brewing Company was founded by a team of five partners: Carson Foss (Owner/Brewer), Cassandra Foss, Jeff Manwaring (Owner/Manager), and Jack and Suzie Hubble (Owners/Managers). Carson Foss, born and raised in Ogden, was a commercial pilot for most of his career who visited at least one brewery in every state during his travels. He started home brewing 13 years before opening UTOG, using his "field research" to brew beers he couldn't find locally. The brewery is located in the historic Thorstensen Building on Grant Avenue in downtown Ogden, chosen for its ideal location across from the Ogden Raptors baseball field and near FrontRunner station. Originally planned to open in July 2018, construction delays pushed the opening to March 28, 2019. The name reflects the founders' pride in Ogden and their goal to create a brewery experience where everything is visible to customers. UTOG was designed as a community-focused space where the brewing process is on full display, creating a welcoming environment for both experienced craft beer drinkers and newcomers. The brewery features a 9,000-square-foot space with an open-concept design, a beer store with alleyway access, and a focus on locally sourced ingredients for their food menu.

The salmon sandwich and the mad Mac are our favorites. You have to try the Effen mule cocktail. Weekends; I like the regular menu on Friday openings rather than sat and Sundays brunch menu. Today they said they had no specials since they have the "ogden eats 2025" menu specials. Always very nice and great service crew working. Lots of artwork hanging. Love sitting next to the brewery area. I do wish that we could see what each big brewery canisters name was. Have top signs on each to showcase their names. We only could see the placards on one facing towards us. Great place! Amazing cocktails too Women's bathroom is very clean and has cute supplies if in-need. So thoughtful.

The pilsner was good. But hefeweizen and kőlsch were too sour as for us. Fish and chips was average. Server was not friendly and unprofessional.
