Red Rock Brewing - Park City
← Back to the TrailAbout
Buzzy brewhouse crafting unique beers, signature sodas & New American grub in an industrial space.
Their Story
Red Rock Brewing opened its doors on March 14, 1994, founded by Bob Jensen along with partners Cindy Smith, Steve Lyman, Russell Bollow, John Bollow, Grant Schettler, and Steve Shluker. The original brewpub was established in a converted dairy warehouse in downtown Salt Lake City and became Utah's fourth modern-day craft brewery. The Park City location, also known as Red Rock Junction, opened later at Kimball Junction in the Redstone Center. The company has earned a national reputation as one of the most creative breweries in the country, with beers that have earned more than 100 regional and national awards. In 1997, several founding members departed, but Jensen remained as managing member and steered the company through challenges. Rather than pushing for aggressive growth, Red Rock has stayed relatively small and humble, currently producing about 5,000 barrels annually, focusing on quality products, employee benefits, and supporting local nonprofit organizations. The Park City location offers a family-friendly alternative to Main Street dining, featuring wood-fired pizzas and a full service restaurant alongside the brewery's award-winning craft beers.

Man, this place has gone downhill! Tables are old and sticky, food quality is almost nonexistent. For example, their chicken schnitzel used to be a large pounded flat piece of chicken, now it’s a small breaded breast that you can tell is used for both the schnitzel and the chicken Parmesan. Small portions, high price, would not recommend. Sad, cause I used to go here all the time!

Daniela provided excellent service, always attentive. Every time my beer ran out, she asked me if I wanted another one, and the conversation with her was phenomenal. She is the best person who has served me in years. If you come here, don't hesitate to ask for her.

This place has gone down hill significantly. I've been coming here since it opened and its not the same. Food is not improving, managers are more concerned with their buddies than operating the restaurant and people just don't seem like they enjoy working there. Sad state
