Their Story

Top of Main Brew Pub (formerly Wasatch Brew Pub for 34 years) is Utah's original craft brewery, located at the top of historic Main Street in Park City. The original Wasatch Brewery was founded by Greg Schirf in 1986, making it Utah's first modern-day brewery since Prohibition. Schirf opened the Wasatch Brew Pub in 1988 after successfully lobbying the Utah State Legislature to change laws that made brewpubs illegal, earning him the title "George Washington of craft beers in Utah." In 2023, after Monster Beverage Corporation acquired the Wasatch and Squatters brands, the brewpub was purchased by Salt Lake Brewing Co. founders Peter Cole and Jeff Polychronis and rebranded as Top of Main Brew Pub, returning the establishment to local ownership. Head Brewer Nils Imboden, an award-winning brewer, continues brewing operations with new recipes under the Top of Main brand while honoring the legacy of Utah's craft beer pioneer.

Our server Ian was great- very personable! Beer selection was good, and my burger was quite tasty. Reason for 4 stars is my wife’s salmon was a bit dry and the fries were colder than I’d like. Will certainly return!

I've been to most restaurants and bars on main at this point and for the price of drinks/food and atmosphere this is the best casual and comfortable bar on Main by far. Their prices are super reasonable, the menu is extensive with large portions... and best of all after a long trekk around the town looking for the famous habanero beer, we finally found it here at Top of Main Brew Pub. Daniel from Brazil also gave us such great service and conversation. This is definitely our preferred go-to casual bar place to go now!!
